Benton Hot Springs

Sorry for the short notice but for any who might be interested in one last good dig before the Sierra Fall Century, a few of us are planning a ride to Benton Hot Springs and back on Saturday the 4th.

Rolling from the Green Church at 8 am. Water at Brown's Campground and at the Inn at Benton Hot Springs.

Temps at Benton HOT Springs are forecast in the low 80's by late morning and rising to the high 80's by mid-afternoon. Should be low 80's at the Green Church by early afternoon so.... a nice day on tap.

Girls ride for a cause

I would like to invite the ladies (guys can join too) to ride in wine country this fall. Rachel Georgeson and I (Sara morra) will be participating in the annual MS 150 "waves to wine" bike ride on sept 24-25. We will be camping overnight but it is a fully supported ride with dinner and breakfast included. We would love to start a team and wear our ESV colors. The fundraising minimum is low at $350 each. Let me know if you are interested or visit their website at www.wavestowine.org. Hope to see you there. schavezpt@yahoo.com

Mosquito Ride

I just want to thank all the volunteers for all of the rides and yesterday's ride was a first for me. Up (& down) that gnarly Rock Creek Road and passing all the beautiful wildflowers and springs along the way, with a view of the cloud-covered mountains luring us upward. Ok, maybe I am still a bit oxygen deprived but I was so thrilled to make it up there and having my dear husband with me the last little bit after his big ride from Mammoth was super.
I look forward to more rides with some super people!

Pie - and More!

What timing! We missed the real downpours by just a few minutes! Hope everyone got home safe and dry. Thanks to all who helped make this happen - Liz, Bob, Patti, Joyce, Karen, The Tonys, Shirley and all who brought contributions to lunch and DESSERT! Spent a nice rainy afternoon catching the finish of Le Tour after a good ride. Thanks to all for joining us - hope everyone got in the ride they had in mind. Barb

SageHen Ride

A great ride . . . thank you!, and a great reasn for a beer (or two) at the WhoNellieDeli . . it was great meeting new/diifferent club members along the way. I live in Seattle, and come down to Mammoth every summer for a few weeks, and being a member of the club has been a wonderful way to feel like a 'local'. The riding here is incredible, and despite the first few days of oxygen deprivation, I love the Benton Crossing Road and 120 . . . and I know I'm sick, ha.

Tioga Pass

FYI, there's a repaving project underway on Tioga that will wrap up Wed or Thursday July 15th. They've repaved much of the climb up to the Gate, so after this weekend it'll be smooth sailing up to 10,000ft.
