Starting at the BOG (aka "bottom of the grade") in Bishop, there are various options for this ride, either flats or climbs, or a combination of both.

The "classic" route involves climbing three cols, Pine Creek, Old 395 grade, and the Pipe Line road. If you chose this variation, it's truly a suffer-fest. But don't despair, there are other ride options available, with less probably of pain and suffering. Centrally located, there will be a Support Station at the BOG with snacks and refreshments.

This ride is free to all current (2010) ESV members (annual membership is $35, and provides the member with entry to all of our supported rides). Non-members are certainly welcome to join the ride and may participate for a $15 day fee.
