Local Routes

Favorite Routes of Eastside Velo Club members and Local Cyclists in Mono and Inyo Counties

Red's Meadow Ride

A favorite of ESV members, the Red's Meadow ride can be started from almost anywhere.  A lot of elevation gain can be had on ride in a fairly short timeframe.  Be aware of buses on the road as you drop down from Minaret Summit and as you climb back out.

June Lake Loop Ride

The June Lake Loop is a great ride, but the scenery is even better.  You can ride it as a loop or ride clockwise out to Hwy. 395 and turn around for an "out-and-back."  The road is narrow in places and there aren't a lot of bike lanes so be careful of traffic.

Millpond to Swall Meadows and back via Pleasant Valley Dam

Part of a variety of favorite routes for ESV Club members in the Bishop area.  This ride starts at the Millpond Recreational Area in Bishop and goes through the beautiful Round Valley Area at the base of the Sierras and then climbs up old Hwy. 395 to Swall Meadows.   Then, riders descend from Swall Meadows (one of the best descents anywhere) back down and through the Pleasant Valley Dam Resevoir.
