SAFE AND LAWFUL RIDING PRACTICES - A quick note, if you're riding in a group on a road with no bike lane, whenever a car approaches from behind you or in-front of you, you must ride single-file as far to the right of the road as is practical. This is a great video shared with us by the Marin County Bicycling Coalition.
Come out for an hour to an hour and a half spin after work! Rides start and finish at Mammoth Brewing Company (MBC), located at the corner of Main Street and Minaret Road in Mammoth. Rides will begin promptly at 5:30 pm. Routes will be announced on Tuesday’s ESV e-mail, as well as and on the ESV Facebook page. Open to club members and non-members, all levels welcome! Stick around after the ride for some great beer and food at Mammoth Brewing Company. All riders will receive a 10% discount on Food and Drink that evening!
The popular 'Wednesday Nigh Series' is back and focuses on improving individual speed, strength and skills. Workouts change on a weekly basis and include workouts such as sprints, hill climb repeats, VO2 max, and Lactate Threshold workouts. Great training for the Mammoth Fall Century.
All levels are welcome as workouts are individual on an out and back course or with re-group points. Friendly competition encouraged!
The series starts at the Green Church on most Wednesdays, but due to weather or other circumstances (such as being bored of same start point) we may move the start location randomly, so check the calendar or read the email!
The 2014 Mammoth Fall Century & Gran Fondo was a great success this year. In our 21st year, it was our best ever and we want to thank every Eastside Velo member that volunteered to help with the event and those of you that rode in it too! It was great seeing all of those ESV kits out there. Thank you all!
We're planning an even better and bigger event next year and we hope you'll join us on Saturday, September 12, 2015 in Mammoth Lakes. To find out more, go to FallCentury.org and Like Us! on our Facebook page. Thank you again. Have a safe and enjoyable year of cycling. We'll see you in the Fall of 2015 on the Mammoth Fall Century & Gran Fondo!
