BISHOP - PIPELINE

AKA - GORGE ROAD

RIDE OVERVIEW
Gorge Road (or Pipeline) is an awesome ride that can be pretty much be done year round and with the epic views of Sierras to the east and the Whites to the west make this an excellent ride.

Overall this climb is pretty consistent grade with a couple of short kickers and then one longer harder section at about the 2/3 point.

The climb up Gorge Road is exposed so plan accordingly during the warmer months. The road is also a narrow two lane road...more like 1.5 lanes. The traffic is minimal but be careful with a couple of the sharp/blind corners for oncoming traffic.

It is worth noting that there a handful of larger potholes and cracks that if you pick the wrong line could result in a bent wheel and a not fun experience for you. Make note of these on the climb and keep your eyes peeled on the descent.

LINK-UPS + NEARBY RIDES
The casual nature of this climb lends itself to be paired up with other climbs in the area without making for an epic day - easy choices would be Pine Creek, Lower Rock Creek, or a lap on Chipmunk or Plant Four.
